Menstrual Concerns

Abnormal uterine bleeding is any unusual bleeding from the uterus flowing through the vagina. It can occur at any time during your monthly menstrual cycle, including during your normal menstrual period.

How can you tell if you have abnormal uterine bleeding

  • Vaginal bleeding between periods
  • Heavy periods may be indicated by the heavy flow with filling a sanitary pad within 1-2 hours or passing of clots or associated with other systemic symptoms like dizziness or prolonged-lasting longer than 7 days
  • Painful Periods
  • Bleeding after menopause

Pelvic Pain and Disorders
Pelvic pain typically refers to pain in the area of a woman’s internal reproductive organs.
It may be a symptom of an infection or inflammation and can either originate within the pelvis or be referred from nearby structures, such as the lower back bone or non-reproductive internal organs like the bladder or appendix.
Pelvic pain can be acute, such as in cases of ectopic pregnancy, PID or painful periods, chronic as in endometriosis, uterine fibroids, pelvic adhesions, bowel disease, or acute on chronic.
Contraception

Contraception and birth control is a method or device used to prevent pregnancy. There are many varied contraceptive methods. They include hormonal or non-hormonal contraceptives for either short-term or long-term contraception. They can also be classified as permanent such as tubal ligation and vasectomy or temporary.

Contraception Counselling is important while choosing the most appropriate method for you as there is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to contraception
