ANTENATAL PROFILE TESTS

This is a conglomeration of tests usually performed during pregnancy. They include; A Pregnancy test, to confirm presence of a pregnancy and can either be a urine or blood test; HIV test; Syphilis Screening test, Hepatitis B and C tests; ABO Antigen Blood grouping and Rhesus Antigen Blood Grouping; Urinalysis; Blood glucose tests. 

HEMATOLOGICAL TESTS

Hematological tests performed in our laboratory include; Hemoglobin tests/Hematocrit level which determines the level of hemoglobin in the blood; Complete Blood Count which determines the number of white blood cells, platelets, red blood cells etc  and Peripheral Blood Film 

CLINICAL CHEMISTRY AND HORMONAL TESTS

. We are able to perform numerous Clinical Chemistry Tests such as Kidney Function Tests, Liver Function Tests, glycated Hemoglobin (HbA1C), CA-125 for Ovarian Cancer and Lipid Profile Tests. The hormonal tests are; Thyroid Function Tests, Prolactin Levels, FSH, LH, progesterone and estrogen levels, Anti Mullerian Hormone (AMH); Testosterone levels, Insulin levels, BHCG levels. 

MICROBIOLOGY, CULTURE AND SENSITIVITY

The Microscopy, Culture and Sensitivity tests are performed to determine particular organisms causing infections and the specific antibiotics that can be given to combat the infection. These tests are done on numerous specimens such as Blood, Stool, High Vaginal swab samples and Urine. Microbiological tests carried out in our Laboratory are Gonorrhea tests, Syphilis Tests and Chlamdyia Tests

    HISTOLOPATHOLOGY and cytopathology

    Cytological Tests:
    • We are able to perform Pap smear tests or Pap Tests. We collect cervical cells samples to screen for cervical cancer and offer appropriate guidance and treatment.

    Histological Tests
    Histology specimens are reported by a pathologist usually to check whether a growth or tumor is benign or malignant (cancerous).
